Entry 3: With regards to the use of English Language, how do we ensure the effectiveness of a particular new media content/material delivered in new media platforms?

Hello there! Let's talk about the new media, shall we? The new media by definition is basically related to the modern day technology such as the computer, internet and smartphones. The vast majority of people using these type of technologies would be those who are of in high school, university and in their early 30s. These technologies have evolved through time and have impacted human beings like no other. Therefore, as per the survey conducted by the PEW RESEARCH CENTER, it is clear that the use of technology will always be relevant.
Firstly, the writers need to do research to see which new media platform is widely used by the consumers. For an example, based on the infographic by IAMK, in 2017 Facebook had 23.83 million or 97.3% of Malaysians having an account for said platform. Thus, this information should be used for companies to invest smartly.
Not only that, I believe the title of every post is what attracts readers and should be taken seriously as it acts as the first impression for readers for them to consider whether it’s worth reading or not. Hence, every post should have a good title to represent the content well.
Last but certainly not least, I believe that the graphic used in posts helps attract people to further read what you are writing about. Reason being, the images used in posts will be one of the major things to attract readers as it is the first thing they see when they are fast-scrolling through their news feed. So, the writer need to understand what type of pictures to use in their posts in order to reach it maximum potential prospects.
In conclusion, there are a few things that needs to be taken into consideration when it comes to wanting maximum results from new media platforms posts which are knowing the best platform to use, taking titles seriously and understanding the best graphics to represent your content best.
